Cherie & Ronne are Ran & Shiri, former writers and singers of the band IZABO. After releasing 3 albums with Izabo (Via Rough Trade, Sony BMG France, Roy Music) and performing on some of the biggest and most desired stages in the world (CMJ, Sziget, Transmusicales, Paleo, Eurosonic, United Islands, Rudulstadt Festiva, and more) - The two have decided to create a new project that will fit their unique and colorful relationship. Ran and Shiri, who are working together since they first met and became a couple, have now formed ‘Cherie & Ronne’ an electro rock/pop duo, have now formed ‘Cherie & Ronne’, an electro rock/pop duo, mixing the sound of the indie & oriental with a beat that won’t leave you standing. Writing and recording from their home studio has allowed Ran the time to investigate and create new sounds with unexpected measures. While learning how to use the best of natural and urban sounds - Ran has built his own instrument - a wooden, electronic, multi-synth viola - from remains that was hard for him to find. On stage, the couple and their drummer are creating a funky celebration by embracing the crowd into their curious way of life.
