The Commoners’ Tale (also known as "The Commons") is a new age progressive rock band from the city of Sderot in Israel, located right on the border between Israel and Gaza. From this most unlikely of places, known for a reality of conflict, comes a unique and uplifting sound with a mission to build bridges between people and cultures. The seeds for the band were sown in underground shelters and over desert jams which, combined, represented a unique home for the ensemble's musical growth. with the current lineup cementing itself in 2007 they began taking their music to a range of venues and festival appearances. Melding a punk-rock attitude with ethnic flavors and funky grooves, The Commons's music emboldens us to evolve both as individuals and as a society by gaining new perspective and knowledge of the power within us. Armed with the spirit of their native soil, the band’s mission is to inspire audiences towards practical and spiritual evolution, with new ideas and messages that anyone can apply in and on their way.
